Roni Size, UK DJ and producer, grew up in the Bristol scene, going to parties run by The Wild Bunch (who morphed into Massive Attack)…
…and broke through into the mainstream in 1997 with his drum and bass collective Reprazent, who in the same year won the Mercury Prize for their album New Forms. Size and his collective were known for mixing drum n bass beats with live drums and double bass, drawing on funk, hip hop and soul to make their unique sound. After being involved in other projects, Size put Reprazent back together at the end of the noughties and went on to play various festivals including Coachella in Florida and Good Vibrations in Australia, as well as Bestival and Glastonbury in the UK.
Roni Size is live in Gretchen on the 7th March and yes! We’ve got a pair of tickets to win!
