Are there any hippies left? If yes, then Darwin Deez is one. The shaggy-haired Frontman of the band of the same name comes from South Carolina. His parents were followers of the Indian guru Meher Baba (The Who dedicated their song “Baba O’Riley” to him) – who stayed silent for 44 years because true love does not need words, and his last sentence before the silence, Bobby McFerrin turned into a world hit: “Don’t worry, be happy.” This philosophy has also shaped Deez. Love, and then do what you want. Be original, but truly and brilliantly. And above all: Don’t forget humour.
